The Peter Williams Scholarship for Technology & Business is provided to help undergraduates studying at institutions in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, or Australia and who are interested in the intersection of business and technology defray the costs of their studies towards a degree in those fields.
The scholarship honors our first investor and chairman who was not only an incredible investor, but also a great lover of and believer in the power of business and technology. Peter unfortunately passed away in 2019, but we hope to carry on a part of his passion and legacy through this scholarship.
The scholarship is a one time, merit-based grant of $5,000 to cover costs associated with an undergraduate education in business and / or technology. While the costs must go directly to education (including tuition, materials, etc), the definition of what constitutes business and technology, as well as their intersection, is vague by definition. It is our belief that the power of this combination comes from the ability to be creative and imagine new possibilities, and so we don't wish to artificially constrain that upfront.
We accept applications on a rolling basis through the year, and select 1 winner every 6 months. For the summer selection, applications must be received by April 15, and the winner is announced on June 1, 2020. For the winter selection, applications must be received by December 15, and the winner is announce on February 1.
